The WOLT have the unique ability to engage challenging and difficult young people. One of the keys to their success is the way in which they develop individuals’ often fragile self-confidence. They achieve this in a number of ways, by getting them to do what they are afraid to do but in a secure safe way and above all by reinforcing the concept that they are the only person on earth who can use ‘their’ ability’.

The Team has a vast experience of working with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. We have developed a variety of programmes that can be used to meet the needs of the students. Team members are Team Teach / TCI trained.
For Primary Schools:
Forest School Intro Course & Woodland Learning Programmes:
Both of these programmes have proven extremely effective for Primary Schools in the Wiltshire and BANES areas. For more specific information click here
For Secondary and above:
- The Triple E 2 Triple R programme: This is a 2 term programme aiming to engage, enthuse, educate and then elevate horizons. For groups of up to 6 students. The first term will involve various PHSE subjects, First Aid and the chance to try out a variety of outdoor activities looking at students demonstrating appropriate behaviour, learning and development. Those progressing up the Model will be encouraged to take part in our RRR programme; they will be trained in how to deliver an outdoor activity and then deliver this activity to other school children (usually younger than themselves). The second term aims to turn these students into instructors – learning how to deliver an outdoor session to junior school children – demonstrating the 3 R’s.
Responsibility; the student becomes a LEADER – responsible for safety, setting up of equipment, and effective coaching of younger school children
Role-model: the student becomes a positive role model to younger children and their peers – taking on a clear positive leadership role
Respect: the student earns real respect through their role and their actions
- Weekly Engagement Sessions: A weekly Outdoor Activity Course session to support your alternative provision focusing on Challenge, Development, Education as well as having a bit of Fun!
