EXPEDITION – FIXED PRICE PACKAGES
WOLT is an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) and can run your school’s expedition section at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. While we may not be the cheapest AAP around, you can rely on our high standards and an expedition experience that your pupils will be talking about for a long time to come.
We offer a standard and premium walking expedition package at a fixed price per participant – please contact us with approximate participant numbers for a quote.
- These packages take care of all aspects of the expedition on the school’s behalf including all training, route planning, eDofE plus both expeditions.
- contact us at email@example.com to arrange a meeting to discuss your needs
If you are interested in a different challenge or your participants don’t fancy doing their expedition on foot, why not consider a canoeing expedition instead – contact us for a quote.
Please note: prices apply to expeditions of 4 teams or more. If you have 3 teams or less, please contact us to discuss.
EXPEDITION – QUALIFIED STAFF
WOLT can supply a qualified and experienced member of staff to work alongside your staff and take the role of Expedition Supervisor or Assessor at a flat rate of £150 per day (plus £30 if staying overnight) plus VAT. With this option, your school can organise the expedition – with guidance from WOLT if required – in order to keep the cost down for the participants. We are always happy to discuss how the school and WOLT can work together to give your pupils a great quality experience without breaking the bank.
EXPEDITION – TRAINING ONLY
We can run a Bronze/Silver training day as a stand-alone event, covering the practical side of the DofE Training Framework, at a price of £30 per head (minimum numbers apply).
Does your school/college offer the Gold Award for students over 16? If not, consider introducing this amazingly valuable addition to a young person’s life experience! We can provide the Expedition Section for your group, plus opportunities for the Residential section.
FIRST AID TRAINING
WOLT runs very popular 16hr Outdoor First Aid courses – ideal for adults involved in the expedition section.
Alternatively we can come to your school to deliver the expedition training framework First Aid requirements to your participants. Full of scenarios and fun, these courses can be tailored to fit your requirements and budget.
If your staff members are running the expedition themselves, we can provide a lovely non-commercial campsite in our woods at £5 per person per night. This is ideal for Bronze expeditions, and we can suggest suitable routes and start/finish points for your expedition if required.
Looking for an expedition assessor? You can hire a member of WOLT staff at the rate of £150 + VAT per day.
We can assist your DofE Manager or co-ordinator with all aspects of the running and organisation of your DofE provision – from providing a qualified expedition leader to a full administrational back-up service to take the pressure off your school staff. Please contact us to discuss your requirements – simply email firstname.lastname@example.org

D OF E OPEN EXPEDITIONS
In 2018 we will be running Open Expeditions, both on foot and by canoe at Gold level.
Open Expeditions are self explanatory – an expedition that is open to all DofE participants, no matter where they enrolled. These expeditions are ideal for young people who have missed their centre’s expedition due to sickness/injury/holiday, or participants who do not have a group to do an expedition with. We can provide training before the expedition, or can accept young people who have already completed DofE expedition training with their own centre.
Open Expeditions often involve young people from different areas, brought together to form a team. We work with these teams sensitively and support them with the challenge of getting to know each other in a short period of time, encouraging teamwork and fostering an atmosphere of fun.
